Bargaining is moving forward toward a future where Providence Swedish can be the leader on retention and recruitment. We are focused on achieving pay and compensation that makes Providence Swedish a place where we all belong.
We are expecting management to bring a really good proposal based on all of the work we have put into helping them understand the problem and our ideas. We are spending our time preparing our counter proposal so that we are ready to lead on our values and priorities:
- To ensure patients receive quality care in every part of the system, we bargain a full economic package that recruits and retains qualified staff from around the area.
- Achieve equitable wages and benefits that make us the leader again in the market and allow us to live in the communities in which we work.
- Work toward racial justice, equity and respect for all, in both patient care delivery and our workplace.
We are bargaining again Thursday and expect to see management’s opening proposal. Stay tuned for updates.
